Hello, I have a question about journaling entries after I Sell a Put Option on a Stock or what is called a Cash Secured Put. When I Sell Puts on stocks for income, should this transaction be entered as a "Sold" transaction and closed as "Bought" or logged as a "ShtSell" transaction and closed as a "CvrShrt"? This is a single leg transaction and not a Spread. Thank you

You are selling something you don't own. Therefore, use ShtSell & CvrShrt.

Quicken user since version 2 for DOS, now using QWin Biz & Personal Subscription (US) on Win10 Pro.
