Quicken, Parallels, and Microsoft Remote Access

I'm an experienced quicken user, 20+ years. Also a software engineer.

I currently run quicken for windows on a 'server' mac inside a parallels windows virtual machine. I typically access the virtual machine via microsoft remote access from other macs or iPads. About half the time when I connect, quicken will crash within 30 seconds. Not a great experience.

Anyone else seen this and have any insights?

[In the past I've run quicken on a windows machine running at AWS, also accessed via microsoft remote access, and I have not had this problem]
