Anybody else fall down this rabbit hole?

Was happily running Canadian subscription windows Home&Business R33 until Boxing Day when I got a crappy blank screen when trying to download transactions using WebConnect

Quicken support said to upgrade so I'm now running Quicken Classic Business&Personal R53.32. Very shiny new logo and a brand new name. Looks exactly like the US version. But it isn't !???

Balances and currencies seem unchanged, but all my TFSAs are now IRAs. Made a new bogus $CAD TFSA account, and althought the wizard references TFSA, it changes it to an IRA

I also notice new bond types FannieMae, FreddyMac.

Still I'm assured by support that this IS in fact the Canadian version….. We even went thru the download again and the patch definitely said it was canadian.

Quicken.ca still references the old Canadian Products(Starter, Deluxe and my fave Home&Business)

Pretty shoddy rebrand.

It sounds like they had you install the US patch release instead of the Canadian one.

Unless there is a "stagged release" version going out to some Canadian users, the last Canadian version was R53.26.

The last US version is R53.32.

Try installing the Canadian patch from here:

@@Chris_QPW I Looked at my release notes (Help- Release notes) and they match those found under Canadian versions on the link page you supplied .

V53.32 no specific notes at all

V53.26- What's Fixed info about One drive, but no mention of What's Improved IRS stuff shown in US version

V53.17 - was a specific Canadian release (US got 53.16) and mine referenced RRSP inplace of 401k in us .16 text

Seems Canadian enough?

Note that both the US and Canadian versions have a R53.26 release. And that it is possible to install the US patch by mistake since in fact there is only one program now, and between the patch, data file, and the license it decides what features to show.

I am presently running the latest Canadian version, which is 52.26. As of right now, anyone running 52.32 is running the US version or has the US patch on the Canadian version.
