Why aren't categories sorted the way they are on the desktop version?

Hi folks,
Long time user (1989, full transactions back to 1991). On the web version, setting categories is a pain. It doesn't automatically find the value it is currently set to, and it displays "All Categories" in a completely random list. I don't see any way to force it to sort them hierarchically as they are on the desktop client. Am I missing something?
