When are share prices determined?
My question is when are share prices are determined and displayed.
I use Fidelity and Quicken. This morning I have a discrepancy between the 2 concerning Pimco funds. I typically update my accounts around 7pm, and I check often before the market opens at 9:30. Today, I have PAXS F-14.73 Q-14.88, PDI F-18.53 Q-18.76, PTY F-13.54 Q-13.66, PDO F-12.79 Q-12.92, and GOF F-13.50 Q-13.69. My Fidelity quotes may change by a few pennies between 4pm and 9am for post and pre-market trading, but at what time are the Quicken quotes for? According to Fidelity: Fidelity displays pre-market quotes between 7:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. EST.
Normal market hours quotes are displayed between 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. EST.
Fidelity displays after-hours quotes between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. EST.
