Citibank connection is getting an update?

So I got an email that my Citibank connection is getting an update that should be more reliable.

I checked my Quicken (Deluxe version of Classic). It shows Direct Connection.

I thought this was the more reliable/faster method vs. EWC or EWC+ (given that OSU takes about a quarter of an hour to do its thing due to EWC).

Or do I have that backwards and it's Direct Connection making OSU hideously slow? I have over 25 different financial institutions with multiple accounts (ie: Chase is one financial institution but I have 8 accounts/credit cards with them).
