Okay after multiple tries downloading and trying to import older transactions I am looking for help. I have been on the phone several times with Quicken and they have been unable to help. I am trying to import a custom range of transactions into my Quicken for Windows. I keep getting the same error message on the downloaded transactions. Quicken is unable to verify the bank institution for this file. My only option in the drop down box after downloading is a QFX Web Connect File. Well the bank's only option is a to do a download is Quicken 2005 & Newer QFX file. Well apparently Quicken does not recognize that type of a file. Quicken is telling me it is the bank and the bank telling me it is Quicken. Please help…….trying to get ready for 2023 tax preparation. I have no trouble downloading current transactions. I previously had no trouble with downloading transactions. My bank was away from Quicken for a time for negotiations but have since resolved and we now have access again. Meanwhile I need to import transactions from the middle of July to the first of November. Who does the fix and how does it get done????

Quicken should import a QFX file via File > File Import > Web Connect (.QFX) File. But you must be connected to the internet at time of import so Quicken can validate the file.

What exactly happens when you try? Are you using an old version of Quicken? Your profile says subscription. Also, name the bank and someone might know about that bank.

Quicken user since version 2 for DOS, now using QWin Premier (US) on Win10 Pro.

I am using the current version of Quicken R53.32 subscription based. Not by any means old version. The name of the bank is MidCountry.

Also when I do the one step update it works fine for the latest transactions. Another problem I can see if you say I need to be connected to the internet at the time of import are you saying directly in Quicken. I have found that if I try to go to website within the Quicken page. It takes me to the bank page. I put in my user name and password. Then it asks to verify by putting in a passcode. It will sit and keep spinning and then get an error message timed out. I sure could use some answers

Any other suggestions. My only option is to download a QFX file for the date range and only option is Quicken 2005 and newer. When I try to import the only option is a webconnect qfx file or a Quicken Transfer Format file. Neither one of them will work as it says it cannot validate the bank information. The bank is telling me that I am the only person having the issue or the only client asking for a solution…………..I am so frustrated with this process being tried since November 1st so now 3 months later.

So what version of Q are you running? Q2005 should work, unless your Q product is EXTREMELY old.

Do HELP, About Quicken and tell us the BUILD that you see there.
