Windows Quicken Classic - Latest Auto Update Stuck on "Optimizing and executing files"

I've gone through dozens and dozens of updates but today's is bad. It first couldn't terminate Quicken and I had to do it manually. Then it proceeded with update but now has been stuck spinning on "Optimizing and executing files" for the past 15 minutes and still going.

Hello @JA,

To assist with this issue, please provide additional information. Did this happen just one time, or were you able to try again and get it to update successfully? Have you tried manually downloading the update patch and installing it that way? If not, please follow the directions in this article, and see if that resolves the issue.
