can i import Quicken Cashbook 2004 data to a current version?

I have been using Quicken Cashbook 2004 for years and it suits my needs, but it has just stopped working. I have tried unistalling and re-installing, but it just will not load. I have backups, but no way to access my data. Can I buy a newer version and import my data? Otherwise I am in big trouble
