Classic Business (latest build) will not email invoices

I have the latest build of Quicken Classic Business (R52.28).
When I email an invoice (with and without a copy going to me), I get the "email sent successfully" message but nothing is sent.
- I tried the sign out / sign in tactic suggested in another post. Did not work.
- Tried with "send copy to self" checked and unchecked. No difference.
- Tried sending with and without attachment.
All email accounts involved in these tests were paid Google Workspace accounts.
So far, I have not been able to get Quicken to email anything (invoices, reports…)
Any suggestion would be most appreciated.
