Transfer

We have 4 separate accounts…separate data files. If I do a bank transfer between those accounts, how do I enter it in Quicken? Transfers are showing as expenses ...so confused!

Why are the accounts in separate data files? You will need a category or a new account in each file to put on the transfers. Or you can enter a one-sided transaction by putting the name of the account you're in as the category in square brackets like [Checking]. Then it won't be categorized or go anywhere but will still add or subtract from the balance.
I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.
