Shortcuts to transaction attachments

I have used the same tactic as described by splasher (link below) and it seems to work flawlessly. Basically, create a shortcut to whatever file you want to attach to a transaction and attach that shortcut to the Quicken transaction. You can even delete the shortcut after you attach it to the transaction because now it's in Quicken.
This adds almost no storage space to the Quicken file. The only caveat is that you can't move the target file to a different location on your computer as that will make the link in Quicken be unable to find its target. A small price to pay.
It would be nice if the shortcut could be created automatically by Quicken, perhaps as a 4th choice along with attach from a - file, scanner, clipboard OR shortcut to file.
I think this would be a good enhancement to Quicken.
