Adding multiple synchrony accounts
I have 3 synchrony accounts (Lowes, TJ Maxx, and Care Credit). Synchrony is one of the options to choose when I am adding accounts, but none of the options link to synchrony.com which is where I can log into my accounts. Surely there is a way to do this?
Thanks!

@HarrietLynnS - To get them connected, instead of using "Synchrony Bank Credit Cards", try these instead -
Lowes - Lowe's Consumer Credit Card
TJ Maxx - TJX Rewards Credit Card
CareCredit - CareCredit

I have the same problem with multiple Synchrony accounts

It would be helpful if you would provide more information. Your post gives us little opportunity to know who to reply to it.
That being said, have you tried searching for the credit card names in Add Account to see if there is a separate listing for your credit cards? Synchrony cards are sometimes set up for downloads with Synchrony Bank Credit Cards but there are also many Synchrony credit cards that have their own separate Add Account listings.
If you have tried all the different listing options, then perhaps this posted Alert might be applicable: UPDATE 2/6/24 Multiple Synchrony instances CC-502/FDP-102

I have two accounts with Synchrony, a Sam's Club Mastercard and a Lowe's card . I use the same Login ID and Password for these accounts, and log into them easily. When I try to add online services on Quicken, however, I get error message CC-929. It says Quicken cannot locate my account, please check the log-in info to make sure it is correct, etc. It is. It says if the info is correct, then contact Quicken support. This has been going on for a long time. Another thread began in August 2023, and the last response is that Quicken continues to work on the issue. It's time for Quicken to fix this.

@gkr1996 the CC-929 error means you have tried to connect or log in to your account too many times. Please see the attach support article for possible solutions to this error.
As for the connection to Sam's Club, I use "Sam's Club Personal Credit Accou" for the FI and it has worked flawlessly for years.
I don't have a Lowe's card, but have you tried connecting with "Lowe's Consumer Credit Card" or "CareCredit"? It seems strange but other users have reported that "CareCredit" works on any card issued by Synchrony.

So the issue (IMO) is that a while back, Synchrony consolidated the login point for all their cards (but the old/individual ones still work).
So for example, my Lowe's card has its own login site which will show only my Lowe's card. But my Amazon card login will show my Lowe's, Rakuten (now Synchrony Mastercard I think), and Amazon accounts.
It's truly a train wreck, and unfortunately (or fortunately) nothing that Quicken can do about it.
I have mine working (so it's only one login for all 3 cards) as:
Financial Institution: Synchrony Mastercard
Try that and see what happens (again, it works for me, but maybe not everyone).

@mjonis - You are right, it is a mess. Not only are the original FIs out there but also multiple Synchrony FIs. I will try "Synchrony Mastercard" and see if it works for my Sam's Club card.
I think most Synchrony card users are pointed to "Synchrony Bank Credit Card" because that is the FI that shows up when you connect via Web Connect.

@mjonis -the only FI that works for my Sam's Club Mastercard is "Sam's Club Personal Credit Accou". I tried "Synchrony Mastercard" and "Sychrony Financial Mastercard" and they both produced a CC-503 error.
I think different cards issued by Synchrony have different FIs that work and there is no rhyme or reason why which one will work or not.

This is not just an issue with Synchrony credit cards. Many FIs have separate unique setups in Quicken for co-branded credit cards but share a common online website. In most if not all cases it is the call of the FI to do it this way. I'm guessing that the FI does it this way for legal reasons because the FI has another contracted partner in the process (the retailer, gas station, etc.) who sets some say in the security requirements making it necessary to set up a unique FI for the co-branded card. I see the same thing occurring with some of my Citi credit cards and, until just recently, with the Fidelity Rewards Credit Card. Normally, when I set up a credit card for download in Quicken, I will first check to see if there is a FI listed in Add Account (or in the FIDIR list) that is specific for that co-branded credit card before trying to set up with the credit card issuer.
This situation also occurs with some FIs with regard to the type of connection method to be used (ex: EWC/EWC+ vs DC). It is not unusual to have different setups and logins for these, too.

@Boatnmaniac it is true that Synchrony is not the only credit card that has online connection issues, but I have seen no other that has multitudes of FIs and the FIs are not necessarily attached to the appropriate credit card. Many Synchrony credit card holders report that the FI "CareCredit" works for them, but they do not have a CareCredit card and some of them have multiple different cards that with "CareCredit".
There is another behavior with Synchrony that I have never seen with any other FI. When I download transactions from the Sam's Club credit card online account using Web Connect (WC), the FI in the Account Details, gets updated to "Synchrony Bank Credit Cards". After that I cannot download transactions using via OSU using EWC. I have to deactivate and reactivate again with FI "Sam's Club Personal Credit Accou" in order to be able to update via OSU or "Update Now".

For those who suggested changing the FI to "Sam's Club Personal Credit Accou" - thank you. That seems to work. Strangely, it also set up my Lowe's card, even though I did not ask it to do so. But I'll take the win (for now) with the Sam's Club Mastercard. Thanks again.
