desktop app fails to load after failed update

today 5 February 2024, quicken tried an update, and it failed, and now the desktop app will not load at all. The modal just comes up, then disappears. Any suggestions? TIA

    How did the update fail? Did you receive any error codes or messages? What exactly occurs when attempting to open the Quicken desktop application?
