Using Quicken in China - multiple currency support (edit)

I am living and working in Central China and want to set up my Bank of China accounts. I previously was able to set the currency in a previous edition like in 2015-2016.
I went into preferences and selected Multi-currency. All it does is put the correct currency in a memo field but doesn't apply the Chinese yuan in my account list or to the transactions.
How do I get the multi-currency to work? Thanks.

I found by following the Help that when I added my account again, then it showed a currency to select. I needed to set up Multicurrency support before I added the account.
