In my Capital Gains report, I would like to collapse the individual transactions, and only see the subtotal for security. I have this option in e-Trade, and can easily do it in excel. But have not been able to figure it out in Quicken Classic Deluxe.

You could use the Income by Security report and check the Realized gain column. I think that requires Premier.

With Deluxe, you could try using an Investing > Portfolio view.

Click on the gear at the top right, check Show closed lots, pick Portfolio preferences, and set the starting date.

Next to As of: set the ending date

    Select the Tax Implications view

click on Customize and add the Realized Gains column.
