Can't set number of backups

I wanted to increase the number of backups saved. # is set to 5, but when I try to change to any other number 1-99 it prompts me to input a number 1-99!

    checkmark the [x] and enter number - (backspace over and enter new number)
    Which backup …. Auto or Manual -
