Unable to open our data file - just a blank white screen (edit)
For over a month we have been unable to open our data file. We have uninstalled, reinstalled, tried to restore a backup file, validated and repaired but when all we get is a blank white screen. Three times, I have been on the phone for over an hour each with Quicken support and they have been unable to resolve our issue except to say that our data file is probably too large (we have been Quicken users for a long time). Needless to say this is very frustrating. Their only solution so far is to start a new data file. Which still leaves us no avenue to get access to any of our old data. Anyone else ever have this issue? Any suggestions? This is not what I pay a subscription fee for — to be told they have no answers.

@don409 - try doing a file validate while holding the [ctrl] key -
Validate:
- Go to File in Menu Bar
- Hold CTRL and click Validate and Repair File...
- Check Validate File. You should see "Authentication block will be fixed" under Validate File
- Click OK
- Close the Data Log
After the validation completes, try to open the data file again. If successful, the Quicken ID Authentication should pop up and once you sign in with your Quicken ID, hopefully you will be able to access your data file.

Thanks for the response, but that still didn't work. Yesterday I installed Quicken on a laptop and opened an old data file. That worked fine the first time and I should have archived some of the data but I didn't. Now today when I try to get back into it, it gave me all kinds of trouble. So I uninstalled and reinstalled, was able to open the data file - or I should say - the data appears to have come up but I can't do anything else because there is a non-ending rotating blue circle and I can't click on anything. I have shut it down twice now using Task Manager which just ways Quicken windows not responding.

@don409 I think your next step is to contact Quicken Support.
It sounds like to me that you have a corrupted data file. They can help you troubleshoot and possibly find a solution for your issues.
