Transfer Ameriprise to LPL: Cash transferred as separate holdings, not as cash balance

Just transferred account from Ameriprise to LPL. I maintained the previous entries, stopped Ameriprise downloads, connected to LPL. Problem is: LPL transfers cash a separate holdings CASH. Quicken was already showing my cash balance. I have had to update cash balance to zero and allow Quicken to enter a placeholder for the cash at "$1 per share." How do I fix this so that I can see a cash balance without having to open holdings and look for CASH?
