Matching wrong check (Q Mac)

When downloading transactions into Quicken-Mac from bank account the transactions do not match based on check number. If there are multiple uncleared checks for same amount Quicken randomly matched the downloaded transaction causing me to manually look at bank transaction to correct problems caused by Quicken. This has been happening for a long time and I would think Quicken would have solved this issue by now. I've read other post similar to this and see no response. I am on latest version 7.6.1 of Quicken-Mac. I would greatly appreciate a response from Quicken to this problem.
