A Memorized Payee randomly "forgets" split categories

A Memorized Payee randomly "forgets" the split categories I saved. (I checked the "Lock" option.) The split disappears and only the first category remains. I have to repeatedly edit and save the Memorized Payee to fix it.

    Is the same Payee Name used for two or more different purposes, like Safeway for Groceries and Safeway for Gasoline?

    Do you manually record new transactions or are they all created from downloaded transactions and automatically accepted?
