Quicken spontaneously changed currency of one of my accounts?

Options

Using Windows Quicken Business & Personal, R55.26, Build 27.1.55.26

All of my accounts are in US$ except one UK bank account in pounds sterling (GBP). So I just sent some money from my US bank account to my UK bank account, and when I try and put it into Quicken, it turns out Quicken has spontaneously switched the currency of the UK account from GBP to USD. It used to ask me what the exchange rate was for the transfer, now it just puts a USD sum into the account which is wrong.

From reading other threads here, I don't think anyone has found a fix for this? If there is a way to just switch the account back can someone let me know.

Otherwise, the advice is open a new account in GBP, port the old GBP account details in and close out the old account. I'd rather avoid that if I can …

Thank you

    Hello @rdatlanta,

To start with, I suggest that you please try validating and/or super validating your data file. However, I do recommend that you first save a backup file prior to performing these steps.

    Validate:

    1. File
    2. Validate and Repair File...
    3. Validate File
    4. Click OK
    5. Close the Data Log
    6. Close Quicken (leave it closed for at least 5 secs)
    7. Reopen Quicken and see if the issue persists.

If the issue persists, proceed to Super Validate. If the issue is resolved after performing validation, then please disregard the instructions to Super Validate.

    Super Validate:

    1. File
    2. Hold CTRL + Shift and click Validate and Repair File...
    3. Super Validate File
    4. Click OK
    5. Close the Data Log
    6. Close Quicken (leave it closed for at least 5 secs)
    7. Reopen Quicken and see if the issue persists.

Let me know how it goes!
