Investment Register Keeps Returning to 2-Line Display

This, despite the fact that I have selected 1-line register display for my investment accounts. All of my new transactions show a second, grayed out line showing a memo and another field. How do I go back to simple 1-line display and, moreover, KEEP it that way for all future transactions?
