Single Pay Budget Items are doubled

When I add a new bill reminder for a single payment, I see two reminders (one positive and one negative) in the bill reminder in budget for the category and the budget line item is doubled.
This has been an issue for several releases. Currently still an issue with v R55.26 Build 27.1.55.26

Most of my budget reminders are recurring, so I have not noticed this before. However, I entered a single reminder and saw the same thing as you. I played around trying to understand it better and found this workaround. If I change the reminder to any recurring period with an end date after 1 reminder, it "fixes" the problem.
