Cannot Connect to M&T Bank Direct Connect

When trying to add M&T Bank account using Direct Connect, It takes awhile and then just gives me "Its not your fault" error. I read an old post that said M&T charges for Direct Connect, but they did not mention that while I was on the phone with them asking about connecting with Quicken. A few hours after the failure, my M&T account gets locked and I have to call their fraud department to get my account unlocked. Does anyone know what is going on or how to add an account at M&T Bank? Is there really a monthly fee for Direct Connect?

Hello @CRay7,

I was able to look into this further and if you navigate to M&T Bank's website, you can see that they offer Direct Connect with Quicken for $9.95 per month. You may view this here.

I also further looked into the instances and connection methods that are offered with M&T Bank and at this time, there is only one instance which offers direct connect.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I contacted M&T multiple times and finally got a hold of someone to help me. A checking account is necessary to signup for Direct Connect, but all accounts can be accessed if you sign up for a checking account and pay for Direct Connect.
