Entering Covered Calls and Portfolio Report

Another Cover-call option question since I still don’t understand what happen with the most recent update.

With the attached file below. I can’t figure why this is happening. Two Issues.

  1. On the report, every covered call option I ever did shows as well as for each account. How I enter a covered call is that I would do a short-sale for the option, and then at expiration, when they expire worthless or I cover them, I would enter a cover short. In the past it summarized each position and did not show closed transaction.

2. When I customize and un-select “No Type” (Cash) that type still displays.

Any help would greatly be appreciated. TIA

It is a known BUG in the Investment Portfolio Report. I have the same problem and have been trying to get this fixed with them.

You are correct in the short and then the cover.

The BUG seems to be that all short sale lots are shown incorrectly in the report.

I also have the same problem. In order to have the correct entry, I select Exit and change "Added" to "Covered Short". That way to position is deleted from the holdings list. I have reported this issue to Quicken several times and once in person. There is no reason this problem should exist. They charge a premium price, we should get a premium product minus the bugs. At one time Quicken was an critical part of my financial management routine. I could see everything on one place and using Direct Connect pay bills via my bank. However now, the online banking software is so good and the Fidelity Investment bill payment is so good, I don't need Quicken. I could dump them and not miss a thing. However I am use to Quicken and it is convenient to use. But if this crap continues, I will cancel my subscription.
