RE: UPDATED 5/20/24 PayPal Credit, MasterCard, and Crypto - CC-501

I tried adding my PayPal Credit MasterCard account today…It worked!!!!!!

There was a redundant security check, I received two security codes via my cellphone at different times during the process, entered the codes when asked, and all went smoothly.

Thank You — whoever fixed this.

Still, something wrong. During one step update of all my accounts, the PayPal bank account downloads transactions, but not the Master Card account.

Thank you for following up, though I’m sorry to hear you’re still having some problems.

If you haven't already, I suggest you try to deactivate all accounts for this financial institution, then force Quicken to "discover" all available accounts and see if this will help resolve it. Please, follow the instructions below in order to do so.

    1. Open the Account List in Quicken (Tools > Account List OR Ctrl + A)
    2. If present, select the Show Hidden Accounts checkbox at the bottom of the Account List
    3. Edit each account with this financial institution to Deactivate (or Remove From One Step Update) on the Online Services tab
    4. Click on the General tab and remove any info displayed in the Financial Institution, and Account/Routing Number fields. Note: The account must be deactivated first before these fields can be edited.
    5. When finished, close the Account List
    6. Close, then re-open Quicken
    7. Navigate to Tools > Add Account
    8. Walkthrough this process as if you were going to add a new account, providing the login credentials and answering any security questions/processes presented until you reach the screen where Quicken displays the Accounts Discovered at the financial institution
    9. Very carefully LINK each of the found accounts to the appropriate account you already have set up in Quicken.

Once that is done, see if the issue still continues to persist.

Let us know how it goes!

Before seeing your 5/31 post I tried deleting the Master Card account and then adding it. It worked—got all my transactions. Today I ran an update of all accounts and both PayPal accounts downloaded transactions and updated normally. A note: The default name given the new Master Card account changed from the earlier default name given. I had seen commentary warning that changing this name on Quicken might cause a problem, so I'm leaving it as is. Have a great day.

PayPal downloads have been working perfectly for a week now. It's all good, except they require a cellphone security code before downloading. Can I change that? If my five other accounts required that I'd be answering phone texts and typing codes ad nauseum.
