Is anyone else having an issue with the desktop version of Quicken Classic?
Any time I open the program it wants to automatically update and the newest update only gives me a white screen. Tech supports solution was to delete/uninstall and download a older version. This happens about weekly and its been going on for a month now where once a week I will have to run through this! Any other suggestions?

Which version are you running? (Help > About Quicken)
You could adjust your Windows UAC setting to "Always notify". This will then give you a popup whenever Quicken tries to automatically update itself and you will then be allowed to either accept or reject the update. Then you can decide later when to allow an update to occur.
Also, if you have "Always notify" set, then you can then try updating Quicken on your schedule by manually downloading and installing the Manual Patch file from Quicken for Windows: Manual Patch Update [Support Article]. I usually update my Quicken installation this way instead of letting Quicken perform the update from within Quicken. I might be wrong about this but IMO updating Quicken this way is a more reliable and trouble-free method than letting Quicken do it automatically.

Thank you! I have updated the settings to always notify. Hopefully that will work. I am running R55.15 build 27.1.55.15. Any time it updates I get locked out and have to uninstall and reinstall with an older version. I just want it to work. I have spent 2 days resetting all of the accounts to download again so I am even afraid to manually update. :(
