When moving around in a transaction, TAB key does not select the Flag column.
As I'm sure everyone knows, when you have selected a transaction, the TAB and Arrow keys can be used to select most fields in the transactions. But for some reason the Flag column is not selectable. One must use the mouse to open the dialog window where one can set/clear a flag or add a note.
Does anyone know how to enable that?
I think this is 'feature' because it has never worked, but I would like to suggest that this be added. I t would make possible the selecting of everything of interest in the transaction.

You are correct that Tab won't get you there. The QWin team will call this "as designed".
You can get to the Flag/Note field via the keyboard, but it's hardly worth the pain compared to using the mouse.

Thanks for pointing out that method. At least there is a way, however painful. 😝

User interface guidelines since the dawn of such have always mandated that "any operation which can be invoked by pointing device must also be invokable via keyboard."
Unfortunately, ease of use was not mandated for the alternate keyboard method.
However, if you encounter a QWin operation which can be invoked by mouse but is completely impossible via keyboard, that's a bug which should be reported.

I'll keep that in mind. I use the keyboard as much as possible.

There is one other operation I do often where I don't know how to use the keyboard.
After OSU is complete, how do you switch among the various panes in the Q window? For example while the Downloaded Transactions pane has focus, a transaction is selected. While the downloaded transaction is selected how to change focus to the Register pane and TAB among the fields to edit them as needed, such as to select a Category or Memo, and accept the transaction with Enter. There are other change of focus operations that aren't clear. I do know to use various combos of Ctrl, Shft, Alt Tab, etc. I'm sure there are other combos I'm not familiar with.
There's probably a cheat sheet I could reference.

Well, you've stumped me. Moving between windows within an application is usually Ctrl-Tab, and that generally works in QWin. But to navigate from one pane to another doesn't seem to have a keyboard shortcut I could find.

Thanks for checking. You can also get to the Transaction context-menu with the gear at the right end of the transaction: Shft-Tab, Shft-Tab, Return. (six of one, half-dozen of the other. 😏)
