Navy Federal Credit Union - STILL having errors after email saying fixed

Greetings. I received an email this afternoon from Quicken stating my connection with Navy Federal Credit Union needs to be updated. I was excited because I had high hopes months of connection errors were finally fixed.

After updating I get the usual success message:

And then the error message from Quicken, again. I even started a fresh quicken file, no luck:

PLEASE HELP!

    Hi @rs14

When you say that you are getting the same error - is it identical to the first poster above (i.e. it is asking that you reauthorize your NFCU accounts)? Or is there another error code? Is today the first time that you've seen this problem? Have you tried shutting down Quicken > then restarting > and then trying to connect again?

Any additional information will help us to help you.

It wanted my to Reauthorize the account -. Going through the process everything works excepts Quicken times out at the end. I get Messages from NFCU that my account are now connected to quick however Quicken timeouts never get the response that the AUth process completed. I have removed online banking from all the NFCU accounts and tried to re add them. Same error. Started and Stopped Quicken Same error.

I’m the original poster. Used a new windows pc, all OS updates applied, edge and chrome up to date, no extensions for either, no cookies, history etc. Download the latest install and tried to add Navy Federal, same issue as I report above.

    Hi @rs14 and @ron.p

Personally, I waited until I received the final warning that I needed to reauthorize my accounts (as I saw others had various problems that I wanted to avoid). So, I bit the bullet about 10 days ago and while reauthorizing / reconnecting the accounts of myself and spouse was tedious, it nevertheless worked and is still working.

Based on your recent comments above - especially @ron.p's use of a new machine which also failed - the only thing that may have been different was that I am not on the most current Q version. I am still running R53.32 simply because I saw users having some issues with later versions and I like to avoid issues. I don't know whether reverting might help, but you might want to try that.

    Have a great 4th!!

Yep, about 2-weeks now, still waiting for a resolution or answer on this. Restarted multiple times, updated Quicken, updated browsers, restarted multiple more times... Quicken blames NFCU, NFCU doesn't think there's an issue. Just changed default browser from Chrome to Edge - no impact. Deactivated all my NFCU accounts (30 minutes wasted on this alone). No impact.

How does reverting back to a previous Quicken version help?

    Hi @bkough,

I am not saying that reverting to an earlier version will solve your problem; I made the comment because I have had success with NFCU accounts and that factor may have some relevance. But as it is in every case, your mileage may vary.

See my other post on nfcu. Turns out the credit card account was my issue and caused the whole process to fail. Have you tried just activating one checking account in the list presented by nfcu during the authorization process? Uncheck all and just do one checking account or savings account and see if that works. Worked for me and has been fine since.
