Quicken for Mac bill pay issue

I have had a payee set up as Quick Pay for years. This month when the bill came across it defaulted to "Auto Pay".
I contacted the biller and my bank, and both verified that I am NOT set up as auto pay.
I contacted technical support and was told it was either the bank or the biller (!). So in other words I received no help and am stuck.
I did a search of the community and noted that PC users have noted the same issue and were able to resolve it.
Any suggestions?
