Change in accepted payment options

I began receiving renewal notices for Quicken in May, warning me there was no payment method on file. I checked and my checking account was listed as payment, so I ignored the warnings figuring they were a mass mailing. Then yesterday I was told my subscription expired. Checking online, I see checking accounts are no longer offered as a payment method. Would have been nice to tell that to subscribers beforehand.
