Solved: Slowness and App Flickering on Windows VM under Mac

In case someone else is having this same issue….

I run Quicken for Windows in a VMWare Fusion Virtual Machine (VM) on my Mac. I just upgraded to a new Mac with the Apple M2 chip and had to rebuild my VM in Windows 11 ARM. Got Quicken installed and data file moved successfully.

Soon as I started working, I found it impossible to get anything done. There was a constant flicker of the App every time I did anything. Close to unusable.

I shut down the VM and checked the Fusion Settings. Under Display, I disabled "Accelerate 3D Graphics" and my problems were gone! Runs at least as fast as it used to.

Interestingly, I had not previously turned that 3D setting off on my old Intel Mac (though maybe I should have) so it might be an ARM issue only.
