Have a problem with Quicken OneDrive backups

I backup to OneDrive and it seems ok. But I can't find the file! Further, the directory (that I think I'm going to) in OneDrive is empty and so is the OneDrive - Personal on my C: drive. No notifications about Synch problems. What am I doing wrong??

Been using Quicken for 20 yrs.

Turns out there is a Documents in This PC and a Documents in This PC\Local Disk(C:), which is where I found one Backup file.

I use OneDrive. It saves to C:\Users\"User Name"\OneDrive\Documents\Quicken Backup where User Name is your user folder name.

Go to File/Copy or Backup File. Make sure Create a complete Backup is selected and then click on Next. Look at what is in "Where would you like to put your backup copy?" Carefully note the path of the backup. That is where it will be located in File Explorer.

Done that many times. I go to the specified path and there is nothing there even though Quicken says the backup is complete. E.g. Backup to c:\OneDrive\Documents\Quicken backups\New Quicken II-2024-07-08.QDF-backup. If I look at the path target, i.e. OneDrive-Personal\Documents\etc. there is nothing there. Nothing in My PC either. Question is, am I doing this right?

Have you tried changing the address to something other than onedrive? For instance try saving it to your desktop. See if you can create the backup somewhere other than onedrive.

Backing up to local pc has worked for years just fine. A recent power fail caused the loss of Quicken data. An expert was able to recover the data but I

had to get a new hard drive. So backing up to OneDrive seemed the logical choice. (Note I thought I was doing this all along. But no.) So the answer is yes, but not what I want.

Found the files. File/Folder structure is what it is. Thanks for replies!
