Etrade no longer updates

It appears to update etrade transactions on the download summary but it does not. Using windows 10, quicken classic. Tried disconnecting, reconnecting ( which is successful). Tried validation of the file. Was working up to 4/2024, then something on intuit side changed. No error message is given. T

E*Trade, under the Quicken E*Trade financial institution name, a few months ago changed from using "Direct Connect" as the download protocol to using "Express Web Connect".
This meant that you had to reconnect all your Quicken E*Trade accounts to use Express Web Connect.
After creating a backup of your Quicken data file deactivate ALL your Quicken E*Trade accounts.
Close and restart Quicken
Use the "+" icon (or Tools / Add Account) to reactivate and authorize your accounts, being sure to carefully LINK the accounts found at E*Trade to your already existing Quicken account registers.

This just stopped working for me as well last week. I am using the Quicken E*Trade and the only option is Direct Connect. I tried deleting the connection and reconnecting back to Quicken E*Trade and get a OFX Error: 16503.

I have also tried E*Trade Bank which I expected not to work and got User Needs to Select FI E*Trade for accessing Investment Accounts.

I tried ETRADE - Advisor which logged in and connected the accounts, but the next time I ran the update I got an error that Quicken could not connect to the account.

So what is supposed to be the correct connection? I have Etrade brokerage account and a company RSU account.

Etrade just stopped updating around July 20, 2024. Disconnected and tried reconnecting with Quicken Etrade and received OFX Error: 16503. Tried both Etrade Advisor and bank with no luck.

When re-adding your accounts using Quicken E*Trade be sure to select Express Web Connect as the connection method, not the now unsupported Direct Connect.

I just started using a MacBook Pro from being a long time Windows user and had issues getting my Etrade accounts to download. The only way they work right now is Direct Connect. I've still got my Windows data file going and it too is Direct Connect for Etrade. No other option works…at least on my end.
