I updated to the latest Quicken version yesterday. This morning I discovered my Merrill Lynch transactions are completely greyed out. What do I need to do to correct this?

    Hello @Ntimid8r,

To clarify, when you say your transactions are completely greyed out, do you mean you have no option to select the Transactions tab for your investments?

If that is the case, then the most likely cause of this would be that your investment tracking method is set to Simple instead of Detailed. To correct this, backup your Quicken file, then click on the account to select it, go to Accounts>Settings, and on the Details tab, select Detailed for the Investment tracking method.

    I hope this helps!

Thank you. I am not sure what the initial problem was, but 3 of the accounts now show the transactions and they are not correct. I believe I need to try to put my records back to where they were on July 5 or 6. How do I do that?

    Thank you for your reply,

If you need to revert back to July 5th or 6th, then I'd recommend restoring a backup from that timeframe. To restore a backup, please follow these directions from this help article on backups:

    Restoring a Backup

    1. From the Quicken menu, select File > View/Restore Backups.
    2. Choose the data file you want to restore and click Choose.
    3. A confirmation window will appear; confirm the file selection and click Restore this File.
    4. Select the location on your drive where the data file will be restored, then click Save.

Note: We recommend that you save the restored backup directly to your local hard drive and do not sync it with cloud backup services, such as iCloud, OneDrive, and Dropbox.

    Thank you!
