Review of closed accounts

Question

I closed bank accounts in Quicken Classic and now want to review a payment made close to 8 years ago. Is it possible to access the account register to review past history.  Account has been closed in Quicken about 5 years. Back ups only go back about a year.

So I did find it.  When I closed the accounts I put them as Separate Accounts.  After looking for the account there I found it and found the transactions.  Thanks.

Are the transactions still within your current Quicken data file?

If so, you can switch to the All Transactions register, making sure that "All accounts" are selected and the Date Range is set to "All Dates" and then search the view for the payee name.

Closed accounts' registers are always available from the Account sidebar. Select the "More Accounts" items and select the desired closed account by name.
