Unable to download banking transactions from E*Trade (Quicken Mac ver. 7.4.2)
When adding accounts I selected E*Trade Bank, and the onlu options was to use Quicken Connect. The checking and savings accounts are "found", and the existing balance is provided to Quicken. However, transactions are not provided. I get an error as seen in the attached screenshot.
An unexpected error occurred.
Please try again.

I was able to add my investment accounts using Quicken E*Trade. However, this option did not show the banking accounts.
I know this is not the latest version of Quicken for Mac. I have to buy a new Mac as I can't update the OS beyond Catalina.

Edit to my original post: There is another error message:
We were unable to validate your login information with E*Trade Bank. Try signing in again. (FDP-103)
Looking up this error appears to suggest that E*Trade does not recognize my login information, even though the existing balance information is still transmitted. This is odd as the login information for the banking accounts is the same as the login information for investing accounts.

I really believe that this is a problem on Quicken's end. There is absolutely no problem with getting all E*Trade banking and trading information, including transactions, when using Empower/Personal Capital.

please start a separate NEW DISCUSSION and give us all the important details, including your exact version, edition level and release of Quicken. US, Canadian or other international version? Windows or Mac?
This makes it possible for us to try and provide solutions to your specific problem without interfering with the other poster's original discussion.0 -
Quicken E*Trade only connects to your investment accounts.
For access to your E*Trade Bank accounts you need to use the separate financial institution name, E*Trade Bank, but the Quicken E*Trade logonID and password is used. As a Mac user, Web Connect is the correct connection protocol for E*Trade Bank.
If you are sure that you have been using the correct ID and password and the FDP-103 error persists, call Quicken Support on the phone during posted hours of operation and request help. Let them do a screen share session with you to review the situation on your computer, to determine the nature of the problem and to figure out how to fix it.
Have you updated Q Mac to the latest available patch release level yet?

I got my issue figured out was getting the (FDP-103) code then the not.found code. Was weird cause when readding my accounts it would show correct accounts with up to date balances but would not download transactions. My solution ended up being simple… my user name include an underscore or “_”. After changing my username it took awhile but it did update and connect correctly. Sorry I didn’t give more info just didn’t make sense as I’ve been using these same accounts for years with no issues. Hopefully this was all that was wrong though :)

I finally received the new Mac today. I installed the latest version of Quicken and imported my data file.
I deleted the E*Trade Checking and Savings accounts.
I then used the Add Account option. I selected E*Trade Bank as the financial institution. Quicken then prompted me for my username and password. I entered them.
Quicken then prompted me to enter the VIP Access Token number (E*Trade uses Symantec VIP Access app for 2FA). I entered that number.
Quicken appears to obtain the latest balance for both the checking and savings accounts. However, no transactions are received, and I still get errors (attached screenshots).
Note that the my username and password is the same for all my E*Trade accounts (banking, checking, and trading). The Trading account imported correctly using Quicken E*Trade as the financial institution.
