How can I add a new loan without the loan reminder
My problem is an old problem. I've seen conversations regarding the above dated 2022. On Wednesday, I spent 2 hours on the phone with support with no resolution to this problem

If I understand you correctly, you want to set up a new loan in Quicken for Windows and you do not want the Setup process to create a Scheduled Reminder for the monthly payments.
After you have created the loan account and the reminder (there's no way around it), there is a selection you can make, whether to use the Scheduled Reminder or an entry in the Memorized Payee List.
Go into the loan register and click Edit Payment Details.
Click on Payment Options and, in the popup, select Memorized Payee.
That deletes the Reminder and creates an Entry in the Memorized Payee List instead.0 -
Unfortunately the loan reminder is in a lop and won't let me complete adding the new loan

That's a different
especially if you've tried setting up an Offline Loan account several times in a row, with the same results.
If you haven't done so already, please do the following actions:
- Even if you are on the latest software level already, download and install the latest Manual Patch file from https://www.quicken.com/support/update-and-patch-20182019-release-quicken-windows-subscription-product to ensure your Quicken software is up to date and correctly installed.
- Reboot Windows.
- Start Quicken. Do not run One Step Update.
- Run BOTH Validate and Supervalidate to attempt to repair your Quicken data file.
- If nothing helps, try to restore your Quicken data file from an Automatic or Manual backup taken just prior to the problems first occurring.
