Reconcile credit cards

When reconciling credit cards, why does the "The prior ending statement date" display the date it was reconciled NOT the statement ending date, which I provide for you in the dialog? It has been very confusing to me at times trying to sort out where I stopped and need to start again.

Are you reconciling to a Paper statement … or the Online Balance. When I look at the reconcile dialog for a card account, the "Ending Statement date" for a Paper Statement is blank … while for the "Online Balance" it shows the date of my most recent download into that account. I last reconciled to paper in this account as-of 7/8 which would mean that I received the statement 7-8 days later and reconciled then.

And where are you seeing the exact phrase that you quoted … because I'm not seeing that phrase either.

Also, what BUILD of Q are you running? Do HELP, About Quicken for this info.
