QUICKEN seems to prioritize the OPTION SECURITY NAME vs. OPTION SYMBOL in various reports and displays

i.e. PUT BOEING CO $167.5 EXP 07/05/24 vs. BA 240705P00167500

previous TDAmeritrade OPTION SECURITY NAME was "BA 240705P00167500"

current SCHWAB OPTION SECURITY NAME is "PUT BOEING CO $167.5 EXP 07/05/24"

I would think a lot of high volume option traders would have problems with the above change.

I don't know (or care) the history of SCHWAB going with their format but and it appears that the brokerage determines how the name appears and is totally unnecessary …

OPTIONS have a unique CUSIP and appears that matching by CUSIP is already occurring. I think it is simply a matter of QUICKEN enhancing their programming that would allow the user to see their choice of format of displaying the OPTION SECURITY NAME and since unrelated to CUSIP would not affect the matching.

an experienced option trader does not need to see PUT or CALL in big letters to identify the trade. the symbol tells it all however if NAME is prioritized in the programming of reports and displays then user could have a choice of how that name appears.

TRADE LOG is one of the competitors in the software for trade management of options. i see that with some additional features for options that QUICKEN could be equivalent (and cheaper).
