What is the database file extension, I can not find my file. (Q Mac)

I started a new database for my Mother in Law’s estate. Now I can not find my database to open. When I let the quicken pull up files it is one from 2021! So it must be stored on my Mac somewhere else. The last time I accessed it was 8/1. I found the backup but not the database. Any help would be appreciated.

On my iMac, the Quicken data file MUST be on the local hard drive, NOT in the cloud. When my large (45 Mb) data file was in the iCloud disk, the Mac ran PAINFULLY slow. The problem resolved itself immediately when I moved the file to [local hard disk]/Users/[user]Documents. The usage that slows the Mac does not show up in CPU or Memory usage in Activity Monitor.
