One Step Update is not working after latest release (58.9, Build 27.1.58.9). Following directions to reset it by right clikcing on the account, then to online services I do not get the option to change the connection. Can anyone help me? I just switched my entire business account to Wells Fargo so I could have Direct Connect and now this has happened,

    Hello @carolmaeray,

Please be aware that Wells Fargo requires users to go through a specific authorization process in order to setup Direct Connect access before it will allow you to connect via this connection method in Quicken.

To authorize Direct Connect with Wells Fargo, first, deactivate the account from the current connection first. Then, sign in to www.wellsfargo.com/fmssetup and follow the prompts to authorize Direct Connect on their end first (I believe they give you 10 minutes to connect in Quicken afterward).

After that, navigate to Tools > Add Account... in Quicken, search for and select Wells Fargo in our financial institution list, and click Advanced Options on the right. On the following screen, click Continue. Then, select Direct Connect and hit Next to proceed to the sign-in screen. If successful, once your account(s) have been found, be sure to link them to the existing account(s) you have already set up in Quicken.

    I hope this helps!

Anja, your suggested procedure to reestablish transaction download from Wells Fargo did not work for me.

I continued to get the same error messages from Quicken (Release 58.9, Build 27.1.58.9) that I have been getting all along:

! Sorry. We encountered an error. (It's not your fault).

Quicken is having trouble connecting to Wells Fargo.

So, I called Wells Fargo Online at (800) 956-4442, got past the auto-answer robot, waited to talk to a live person, and waited to get transferred to a Wells Fargo Quicken Specialist, who easily guided me through the steps using both Quicken the Wells Fargo Website and Quicken to successfully reestablish my Express Web Connect connection, which is the method I had been using before Release 58.9, Build 27.1.58.9.

I did not need to attempt to set up Direct Connect.
