USAA accounts giving a CC-506 error.
I have been getting a cc-506 error on my USAA accounts when connecting. Other accounts are working ok. I have tried to "reset" the account but when I do that the Quicken application crashes. I pops up a dialog box to send the crash file which I did.

So, I worked with Quicken support - who were very good, and we tried many different things. What worked was going to the account lists, editing the account, deactivating, clearing the account info in the name and account number. Once that was done for the three USAA accounts then we went to add account, typed in and selected USAA. USAA has a sign in that sends you to their site. Select that. Then back in quicken it will show the accounts that USAA has. Select each account and choose Link to existing account.
That fixed it for credit card and checking but not for savings. For an at the time unknown reason USAA was not showing the Savings account in the set up. We could not figure out why. However later that day after doing more research, I found out they if you do not access your account regularly at USAA it will be marked Inactive. This prevents it from being displayed in the set up. For USAA Savings account the period in two months. And interest payments/deposits to the account do not count as transactions. To fix this, I transferred money from checking to savings on the USAA site then transferred it back. I waited a day for the transaction to clear. I then went through the process above again and the Savings account showed up and everything worked.

I ran into the same problem, regarding a USAA savings account suddenly becoming unavailable to quicken. I eventually got to a USAA tech rep who confirmed the "dormant" status and turned it off, fixing the problem. (I had tried the transfer approach mentioned in the op, but it was over the weekend and had not had time to do the trick. Hopefully that is the best workaround going forward).
