Creating a 50/30/20 budget with new Category Groups

I have expenses categorized into categories and sub-categories. I've read about Category Groups and being able to change them for reporting.

I'm wanting to create a 50/30/20 budget, and thought if I could create Category Groups to Needs, Wants, and Investing, and move the existing categories and sub-categories into those 3 Category Groups, I'd be able to clearly see spending for 50/30/20.

I see at Window > Categories I can make and change categories and sub-categories. Where do I create or change Category Groups?

    Hi, Yamagata:

Quicken for Mac does not allow the creation of Category Groups at this time.

You will not be able to setup your budget in this fashion. You will have to hand craft it with the individual categories.

    Well, that sucks.

Serious dislike for all the differences between Quicken in different platforms.
