How do I get my income to not appear twice in my register?

Question

My W2 employment is in government and I get paid on the 1st and 15th.  Additionally, I have early direct deposit.  I will see an entry for future deposit dates based on the manual entry of "1st and 15th," as well as an entry when I actually do get paid.

Is there a way to have the register only display the direct deposit amount?  I would show a screenshot for context, but to avoid inflating my income representation, I removed my employer from the income section.

I hope I am making sense.

In Quicken for Mac, downloaded transactions may appear in addition to scheduled or actual register transactions when Quicken is not able to automatically match and merge the two together.

You can resolve this by hand: Drag and drop the downloaded transaction over the already existing register transaction.

It might be necessary to change the scheduled transaction's date to the actual deposit date before matching the two.
