A little over 6 months ago I repotred the Find or Find all is broken if you have Alpha and numeric data in the search. I was informed it was a known problem and was being worked on.

Is there any status update?

This problem occurs if you have alphanumeric data in the search string and your search includes a numeric field, such as Amount, and the numeric part of the search string matches a number in the numeric field.

In your example, setting the Find to Any field - Contains - NU06 will match any transaction that has the digit 6 in a numeric field, or NU06 in a text field.

It think an alphanumeric search string should never match a numeric field.

The tracking number is CTP-8252. I can confirm that it is still broken.

Quicken never says when a problem will be fixed.

    Thanks for the update Jim.

I have found that a search such as xxx3, which does not exist, reports "Found in 11220 transactions" because they have a 3 in them.

Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

PS, I keep a copy of QW27.1.46.12MPatch handy if I can't find a way around the problem as it's the last version that works correctly. And I perform it on a backup PC just in case installing an old patch and then re-applying the latest patch messes something up.
