Change Institution Type

After an institution has been created, it doesn't appear that there is a way to change the type (e.g., service provider to financial institution).

I understand they have different fields, but you might want to save the relationships with other items, along with any attachments.

Maybe a warning could be shown to let you know that the information you entered for it will be lost, but any items that reference it will be kept along with attachments.

Yes, I agree that this is a great improvement idea. It's on our list and we'll get working on it in this new year. I'll post here when we've made the update.
