Tower Federal Credit Union Credit Card Transactions - Personal Security Code
I am trying to download credit card transactions from Tower Federal Credit Union (TFCU). When I try to add this account, I enter my username a password, but then Quicken says the Credit Union also requires a Personal Security Code. TFCU says they have no idea what this is.
I have no problems with the other (savings, checking, mortgage) account, only the Mastercard account.
Any suggestions, comments, or advice will be appreciated.

Had the same issue. Called card services and the person on the phone didn't know what Quicken was…….still dead in the water.

My Tower Mastercard transaction downloads stopped working back in August (2024). I've tried editing the account to remove 'Online Services' then reactivating online services. When I do that Quicken presents to me a list of my Tower accounts to match up with the Quicken accounts. Unfortunately, my master card account isn't even listed among the Tower accounts. It like the account doesn't even exist. I've been using Quicken since the mid-90s. I don't want to investigate a new product - I'm so used to Quicken now.

Looking at the available selections for "Tower", I can see that there are two entries in the list of supported financial institutions (highligthed in blue and yellow):
They both appear to point to the same bank, towerfcu.org
Which one are you using and have you tried using the other one of the two?0 -
Using neither worked. When setting up online services for my mastercard, if I use 'Tower Federal Credit Union' it doesn't even show my mastercard as an account at Tower- not at all. If I attempt online service setup using 'Tower FCU', my mastercard DOES show up in the list of accounts, but it fails to download transactions. I suppose I'll have to decide to either enter them manually or move to a different bank.

Same situation here. I can add the Tower FCU option but it doesn't download anything. No idea how to fix. Used to work. It seems to be something on the Quicken side which is causing the problem but I can't figure out what it is. Unfortunately Quicken is not helpful with a solution.
My current workaround is to go to the credit union website and download the transactions directly from there to Quicken. That does work until the overall problem gets corrected.

To expand with my experience:
- It is possible to add the Tower FCU version without going through the "Personal Security Code" step by choosing to add an account under the "Tower Federal Credit Union" choice, then when your credit card appears (which mine would do irregularly), choose that. I have tried both creating a totally new account or pairing with my current account and the result is the same.
- Once you do that, the correct balance appears as the "Online Balance" but no transactions appear.
- When doing the "One Step Update" it indicates that transactions have been downloaded (like it will say, 10 transactions have been downloaded) but they never appear. The online balance keeps updating, but I never see these transactions.
I have tried contacting Tower who has no idea how to address this. They keep saying this is a quicken problem but I have not been able to get action from them either. They say I need to get a personal security code from Tower. I have no idea what else to do.
