I see many issues similar to mine, where my opening balance, from 1994, has been changed, without any notification=. All of them are closed with no easy to find resolution. I will just figure this out on my own, but seriously considering why I even should be using quicken. Software has seriously gone downhill, and yet is more expensive

Why are you unable to find resolution in closed threads. Yes, there's a bug in Q that sometimes causes the OB to change … but the method of correcting the situation (and a suggestion for making future corrections easier) has been posted MANY times.

The issue with getting a permanent fix seems to be that there are multiple causes of the issue … so pinning down "the fix" has been elusive.
